At Creative Learning Academy (CLA) our mission is to increase access to educational opportunities through our commitment to family and community participation. Based on the New York City Department of Education’s play-based creative curriculum, we facilitate developmental practices for children ages 2-4 years old. We also provide after-school care for 5-13-year-olds. We work in partnership with staff, parents, and the community to nurture the whole child and build on children’s strengths, backgrounds, and interests.

My son has been going to The Creative Learning Academy since the school year started. I have to admit I have seen tremendous growth in his development and his social skills. He is not a morning person by any means, but by the time I pick him up I see a complete 180 in his attitude. The staff definitely cares about seeing him succeed. From the office staff to the teachers to the janitors you see a certain level of teamwork that a lot of schools don't offer. So, long story short me and my wife are very happy with our decision.

The Creative Learning Academy (CLA) was founded in collaboration with the New York City Department of Education and Weeks Educational and Social Advocacy Project, Inc. (WESAP) – a nonprofit formed in 2010 to promote education as a fundamental human right. As a school that feels like family, CLA nurtures children’s imagination and intellect in a warm and creative atmosphere, using learning techniques that are aligned with the city Department of Education’s curriculum. In our classes, natural curiosity is the starting point for developing academics, self-confidence, teamwork, and independence.
